Fine particle dispersion technology

We might say that carbon dispersion is at the core of Kuretake’s technology. The fine particle dispersion technology cultivated at Kuretake is used not only in the field of traditional sumi ink and ink making, but also in a wide range of industrial fields. This fine particle dispersion technology is the decisive factor in our manufacture of snow melting agents, electro-conductive ink and various other inks, just as with liquid sumi ink and pigment ink.

When you need to break down powder in water for a uniform consistency, dispersion is an amazingly deep topic to consider. All kinds of troubles can occur, like sedimentation or separation. If you need help with these issues, please consult with us. By applying the insight and technologies we’ve gained thus far, we’ll help you with the dispersion of all kinds of materials.

Container design and plastic part design technology

Writing instruments have become familiar tools for decades. Although these instruments are inexpensive commodities, they actually feature a great number of technologies.

Take that old writing instrument you have lying in your desk drawer, for instance. If you cautiously take off the cap, you might still be able to write with it. This is because the cap serves as an airtight seal for the body.

If that airtight seal is even the least bit imperfect, the ink will evaporate and the pen will be useless. The plastic on writing instruments is precisely molded to ensure airtightness, with some measurements as precise as 1/100 mm. Also, there is a danger that small children may swallow the pen cap. To avoid suffocation in such a case, a breathing hole is opened in the cap.

Within these various limitations, the need for writing instruments has brought about a variety of container shapes. If you have an idea that you’d like to bring to fruition, please feel free to get in touch.

Consultation

We will confirm any information required to develop your product, such as the intended use of the product, its functions, any material that is to be applied to the surface, and the component materials that can be used.

Proposals regarding ink composition and part mechanisms

In line with your requirements, we will provide an opportunity for you to view a sample, which is based on original products sold by Kuretake (ink and parts). Following this, we decide on the direction to take for the ink composition and the product specifiations.

Sample submission

Here, you will be able to see the prototype that we create. We will design another prototype if the overall image does not match what you had in mind.

Quotation and order finalization

Once the specifications for ink composition, shape, packaging and so on are finalized, we will submit a formal estimate. Following this, we form a contract and your order is placed.

Production

Mass production of your product begins, based on the prototype that you have approved. For specially designed products, we will send you a mass-produced sample before the initial mass-produced product is shipped.

Delivery

The mass-produced products will be shipped after you have confirmed that there are no discrepancies in the sample.
